A judo teacher was indicted and imprisoned last November for sexual assaults on minors, said the Pointe-à-Pitre prosecution, confirming information from RCI Guadeloupe.
The facts would have occurred on “five victims identified to date, between the years 2000 and 2020” according to Patrick Desjardins, public prosecutor of Pointe-à-Pitre.
The man’s incarceration dates back to “November”, but was only revealed on Thursday by local radio.
He is a “known” judo teacher, having practiced “in a club in (the commune of Le) Moule”.
According to RCI, the man is in his fifties and would have abused his victims “in his car, at his home or even directly during training at the club”.
