Moderator: Liu Wei, thanks for joining us. Guangdong currently sits in fifth place, five wins behind Liaoning Flying Leopards. Is a top-two finish realistic with Zhao Rui back in the lineup?
Liu Wei: Absolutely! Zhao Rui brings so much to the court – offensive firepower, defensive tenacity, even leadership. He’s a difference-maker. guangdong’s struggles in the second stage were partly due to injuries, and Zhao’s return will inject them with a much-needed boost.
Moderator: General Manager Zhu Fangyu is quite bullish on a second-place finish. Do you think that’s too enterprising, or can they realistically bridge that three-win gap with Shanghai?
Liu Wei: It will be tough, but not impossible. Shanghai is playing fantastic basketball right now, but the CBA is a marathon, not a sprint. Guangdong has the talent and experience to make a strong push.If Zhao Rui can regain his form quickly, they can definitely challenge Shanghai’s position.

Liu Wei: Crucial. Coming back too soon could risk further injury and disrupt the team’s chemistry. The coaching staff needs to manage his return carefully, making sure he’s fully integrated and comfortable before unleashing him in high-pressure games.
Moderator: Looking at the Guangdong roster, beyond Zhao Rui, which players do you think will be key to their campaign in the final stages of the season?
Liu Wei: Yi Jianlian is always a steady force. His experience is invaluable. While younger players like Xu Jie and Hu Mingxuan need to step up and contribute consistently.
Moderator: The CBA regular season is a grind. What advice woudl you give the Guangdong team as they prepare for this crucial final stretch?
Liu Wei: Stay focused, maintain a winning mentality, and trust the process. They have the talent to be champions again. Also, interaction and teamwork will be vital with Zhao Rui’s reintroduction – making sure everyone is on the same page and knows their roles.
