Magath continues: “Hasan has a problem with that because he can never decide everything on his own. He has to discuss things with Hoeneß first.” A few days ago there was a discussion as to whether play-offs should be introduced in the Bundesliga. Oliver Kahn was open to this, and Hoeneß then reacted clearly to the DFL’s proposal and made it clear: “The new DFL managing director is now thinking day and night about how we can break FC Bayern’s dominance. That’s not the only reason Magath sees the problem with Kahn: “I don’t know what the relationship between Kahn and Hoeneß is like, but as CEO he took on a very difficult job.” In the end, the ex-Bayern coach summarized the issue and fell a supposedly bad judgment for Kahn and Brazzo: “Hoeneß has led the club for over 30 years, he will always have a great influence on Bayern.”
