CB IES LA ORDEN vs CB ARJONILLA
People from Huelva and Jaen dispute a meeting in which anything can happen. The locals are leaders of Group A and have already secured their ticket to the semifinal playoffs, but far from relaxing, they are looking for a new victory that will confirm them as champions of Group A. On the other hand, the arjonilleros are second and need the three points to take the final step towards the next round.
The albiazules come from winning at CB Oviedo and have already won the first leg (2-5), but Arjonilla is the rival to beat and after having rested last day they are looking for a victory to show their candidacy for the title.
Despite Arjonilla’s second position, their coach, Antonio Pons, is not confident and will take all his troops. “There is still nothing certified and we will try to get the last three points that will put us in the final phase of the competition. We know how difficult the rival is,” he points out.
The sports director of IES La Orden, Paco Ojeda, confesses that the TOP10 “is very tight”, because with two days to go before the end of the regular phase “the groups are not yet defined and the competition is at a very exciting because of how open it is.”
On the other hand, Arjonillero player Juan Blas Villalta is aware that his team is facing “a very complicated match against the leader”, but he stresses that he sees the team “very eager to certify the semifinals and not arrive with all the pressure at the last day”.
CB RAVACHOL PONTEVEDRA – CB OVIEDO
Emergency duel in Galician lands. This is how the duel with which Ravachol Pontevedra and Oviedo close the ninth day of the TOP10 this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. could be defined. And it is that both teams are in a delicate situation, since they are last and penultimate, respectively, of Group A.
The Asturians travel to the Xunqueira Multipurpose Pavilion with the challenge of overcoming a solid team that has not been able to show its full potential.
The player from Oviedo, Javier Suárez, makes it clear that “we are going to face these last two games that we have left with a lot of strength, knowing that we are going to risk it and we are going to need the two victories. A priori it is going to be a difficult game, given that the Ravachol’s strong points are our weakest. We’re going to go for it all, the team feels strong enough to be able to scratch these points to reach the semi-finals”.
Coach Fran Dacal explains that “the coaching staff, and the club in general, is happy with the team’s performance after what was shown recently against the leader IES La Orden. We have a difficult challenge, two days ahead but we are very motivated, positive , with the performance of the team in the retina, after the good feelings of the last day.Playing a week ago, they saw matches of a very good level with that 3 – 4 against the leader of the group and a reference team in Spanish badminton. We approach this match against Ravachol with a lot of responsibility, because of the performance we must give, because we have to obtain a victory that puts us on track in the group classification for the last day, in order to tackle the objective. The boys are training well and we hope that the day goes in the best possible way for our club”.

UD IBIZA BADMINTON PITIÚS vs CB ALICANTE
The Sa Blancadona Sports Center hosts this Saturday (5:30 p.m.) a vital meeting for the future of both teams and that can be followed live on the YouTube channel of the Spanish Badminton Federation. UD Ibiza Pitiús, penultimate classified in Group B, receives the bottom team, CB Alicante, in a high-tension match, since both teams are tied with six points and urgently need victory to hurry up their chances of staying in the top Spanish badminton category. The emotion is guaranteed, not in vain the only two clubs that have been able to defeat the leader CB San Fernando Valencia face each other.
The local team has already won the first leg (2-5) and the negative dynamic has just changed last day, as it achieved a meritorious victory against San Fernando, and wants to take a run with its second consecutive victory. The sky-blues continue to drag losses that force them to resort to the most veteran and youngest players, players who are undoubtedly making the cut to keep the team afloat.
On the other hand, the people from Alicante want to return to the path of victory after losing to CB Granada Grupo Torres. They are aware of the importance of adding the three points and the potential of the Ibizan players, but they have already shown what they are capable of.
Local coach Ernesto García recognizes that the Alicante team is “undoubtedly a fighting team that will not give up in any game. Both teams have a lot at stake this day, third place is a real objective that depends only on us”.
On the other hand, the Alicante player Ana Caballero points out that “Pitiús is a great team as it has shown throughout the year; We are aware of the difficulty of the match and of what is at stake, for this reason we will give our best version in each game to achieve our goal, which is permanence”.

CB SAN FERNANDO VALENCIA vs CB RINCONADA SEVILLA
High-flying duel that will be experienced during the visit of the Sevillians to the Fuensanta pavilion in Valencia and that can be followed live on the YouTube channel of the Spanish Badminton Federation. The locals are leaders of Group B and are assured of a place in the semifinal playoff, but they want to make up for the defeat suffered last day in Ibiza to secure first place, which will make them go out on the track with all their might, since they want to play a historic semi-final next March. The Andalusian team is second and there is also a lot at stake, since a new victory would mathematically place them in the semifinal in the absence of a final day in which they could even surpass the Valencians.
Looking ahead to this match, the player and coach of the Valencians, Arturo Hernández, comments that “we will face this last day of the group stage with sensations that we have never had, having ensured permanence once again and being in the playoffs. We will play without pressure, motivated, wanting to go for more and give our people who always come to support us the best performance and hopefully the joy of adding 3 more points.
The Valencian player Silvia Ferrandis commented regarding this match that “we want to take advantage of the opportunity to take the victory and make sure we play the semifinal at home because it is already important for the club but we could also enjoy it much more with the push of our fans . The truth is that this is a great motivation to go out this Saturday for all against the Sevillian team”.
