Historical: LeBron James became the NBA’s leading scorer

LeBron James reached the sum of 44,157 points in his professional career (adding the regular phase and postseason playoffs), to beat Abdul Jabbar by 8, an inescapable reference of American basketball in the ’70s and ’80s.

The King, champion with Lakers in the 2020 season, he broke Abdul-Jabbar’s record, with a triple that he scored with 7m to go. 10s. for the closing of the third quarter, which brought the Californian franchise closer to the scoreboard (74-75).

In third position is the historic emblem of the Utah Jazz, Karl Malone, with a record of 41,689; fourth is the late Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers), with 39,283; while fifth in this table is the retired superstar Michael Jordan (Chicago Bulls), with 38,279.

James finished his work at the Chase Center in San Francisco with a score sheet of 26 points (6-17 in doubles, 3-10 in triples, 5-9 in free throws), 15 rebounds and 8 assists in just over 38 minutes that he remained in the playing field.

In the Warriors (42-15) the already consolidated stood out, after two severe injuries that sidelined him from the courts for 941 days, shooting guard Klay Thompson, who finished his work with 33 points and 5 rebounds.
