Another victory for IES La Orden, who beat Arjonilla 4-3 at Andrés Estrada. The albiazules won the mixed doubles, women’s doubles and two of the singles matches. The club stands as the undisputed leader during the regular phase of the competition.
As usual, the match began with mixed doubles. For this mode, Haideé Ojeda and Pablo Abián formed a couple to face Juan Blas Villalta and Anne Fulgsang. The clash was one of the most disputed, reaching the completion of the five sets and with the score adjusted until the last moment, but Ojeda and Abián imposed their brilliance, rising to victory.
The first set began with the Albiazul team losing 8-11. But Ojeda and Abián knew how to beat their rival and win the second by 11-2. His rival took the turn for the albiazules in the third set by 7-11. But finally it was Ojeda and Abián who scored the first point in the light winning the fourth and fifth set by 11-7 and 11-9.
In the women’s doubles, they were Haidee Ojeda and Telma Santos those who occupied the ‘Aguas de Huelva’ track to face the Arjonilla duo formed by Carla Moyano and Nelly Iriberri. The midfielders of the Huelva club solved their match with absolute brilliance, beating their rival in the three sets by 11-2, 11-4 and 11-3.
In parallel on the track ‘Huelva te Saluda’, Victor Martin and Alejandro Perez They had Ernesto Bachwitz and Joan Monroy on the other side of the tapestry. Paco Ojeda’s men began losing the first set 6-11, but defeated their rival in the second 11-5. The last two sets were tighter but they were won by the arjonillero team 10-11 and 9-11.
For the singles, Telma Santos tuvo as a rival to Anne Fulgsang. On the other hand, Pablo Abián faced Tomás Toledano.
The women’s match was resolved quickly and in favor of Santos, who completed the three sets with victory by 11-4, 11-7 and 11-6. On the other hand, this was not the case in the case of the men’s singles, which came to complete all five sets. The midfielder from IES La Orden started the match losing very narrowly 10-11. He managed to impose his brilliance in the second winning 11-7, but again fell in the third 8-11. To score the fourth point on the albiazul scoreboard, he won the final two sets 11-7 and 11-8.
Lastly, the individual finals were played by Belén Rodríguez, who faced Nelly Iriberri and Alejandro Pérez who faced Ernesto Bachwitz.
