The irregular trajectory of the Mirandés in recent days means that it has not just escaped from the danger zone. This uncertainty led the board to decide on Sunday that the best solution was to remove coach Lolo Escobar. The Andalusian coach is Joseba Etxeberría. The club announced his arrival yesterday evening and will direct the first training session today. Etxeberria lands in Anduva after leaving Bilbao Athletic on the verge of promotion to Second Division last season. He had previously coached Amorebieta in the Second B and mid-season for Tenerife, in his only experience in the Second Division.
Escobar’s replacement for Etxeberria is the ninth of the season in the category. Earlier, Las Palmas, Ibiza, Huesca, Leganés, Málaga, Fuenlabrada and Alcorcón had twice changed coaches.
