After almost two years without activity due to the pandemic, judo returns to La Zarza. And he does it hand in hand with a new club called Tandoku, whose location is in a local industrial estate.
In this way, fans of this sport – children, young people or adults – will now have an appointment with the tatami and will be able to learn or enjoy a sport that years ago had a large number of practitioners in the municipality.
The new sports entity, under the direction of Estefanía Nieto, is duly approved and registered, and already has nearly thirty federative licenses and a technical association.
Among the most recent activities carried out, the participation in the first day of the Extremadura children’s and cadet championship held in Badajoz on January 30 stands out, in which some judokas from the club had a notable participation leaving their credentials to get on the podium at end of the remaining two days.
Subsequently, on February 11 and 12, members of the club took part in a coexistence in Mérida organized by the Stabia Sports Center in which they were able to share a tatami with the Olympic judoka Cristina Cabaña and other clubs in the region.
