Larense Juan Escalona established himself as the number 1 sprinter in the country in the Sub 20 category in an exciting final of 100 flat meters, who with a powerful start ran the straight marking 10 seconds and 96 hundredths when crossing the finish line.

Espinoza hung the gold by registering 49 seconds with 2 hundredths. The silver went to Samuel Rondón from the capital with a time of 50.59 and the bronze went to Geizer Escalona from Barina with 51.39.
