Le mans Lawyers Tackle the Raid Amazones for a Worthy Cause
excitement is building for Le Mans lawyers Chloé Gouillon and Anne-Lise cloarec as they prepare to embark on the challenging Raid Amazones in Sri Lanka this March. This grueling six-day adventure will test their physical and mental limits as they navigate a diverse range of sporting disciplines.
The duo will face a demanding schedule, tackling trail running, mountain biking, run & bike events, canoeing, archery, and orienteering – one discipline per day. While both women are avid sports enthusiasts, they’ve embraced the possibility to learn new skills like archery and kayaking.
“It was a fully new experience for us,” Gouillon shares with a laugh, “Canoeing is a sport, kayaking is an art!”
Beyond the thrill of the competition, the Raid Amazones holds a deeper meaning for the lawyers. They are participating in support of solidarité Femmes 72, a Le Mans-based association dedicated to assisting women who have experienced domestic violence.
“As lawyers, we unfortunately encounter women who are victims of domestic violence,” explains Gouillon. “Supporting Solidarité Femmes 72 felt like a natural choice for us.”
Originally a trio, the team faced a setback when fellow lawyer Camille Crabieres sustained an injury, preventing her from joining the expedition. Undeterred, Gouillon and Cloarec have intensified their training regimen, pushing themselves to the limit with a demanding schedule of trail running, CrossFit, archery, kayaking, and mountain biking.
“We’re at the peak of our training now,” Gouillon says. “We hope all our hard work pays off. We also want to demonstrate that women are capable of achieving incredible things and pushing their boundaries.”
The lawyers are eager to take on the Raid Amazones, not only for the personal challenge but also to raise awareness and funds for Solidarité Femmes 72. They invite everyone to follow their journey on facebook and Instagram and consider supporting their fundraising efforts.

Taking on the Challenge: An Interview with Eco-Adventure Athlete Sarah Jones
The Raid Amazones is an incredible feat of athleticism and determination, a challenge that pushes participants to their physical and mental limits. And while I applaud the efforts of every competitor, I was notably drawn to the story of Chloé Gouillon and Anne-Lise Cloarec, two Le Mans lawyers taking on this brutal six-day adventure in Sri Lanka while raising awareness for Solidarité Femmes 72 – a local association supporting women who’ve experienced domestic violence.
