IPNOTISM, MEDICINE, YOGA AND JUDO

HYPNOTISM 2-75 Hypnotism is another effective example of imagination. The person who is being hypnotized gives his imagination to the person who is hypnotizing him. The person being hypnotized imagines that she is being influenced by the other. She imagines herself dozing off, falling under the influence of the hypnotist. Therefore, if he convinces enough, that is, the patient’s imagination, he yields, he becomes compliant to the orders of the hypnotist and that’s all. Similarly, if a person undergoes self-hypnosis, he simply imagines that he is falling under the influence of himself. And so she is controlled by her superego. Of course, this imagination forms the basis for healing through prayers; people get more and more excited and imagine that if they visit this or that place or are treated by this or that person, they will be cured instantly. In this case his imagination actually gives orders to the body, so that a healing is produced, healing that is stable, as long as the imagination takes into account the order, as long as no doubt creeps into it. 1-219 I have performed severe surgeries on hypnotized patients: lower limb amputations and equally serious operations. The patient feels nothing, does not suffer at all, and wakes up in much better conditions than if he had, moreover, suffered the effects of orthodox anesthetics. 4-95 “if we can persuade a person to act in a certain way and this way of acting, which we wish to convey, is not contrary to that person’s ideas, then we will certainly do so, only because his brain waves have been altered and, regardless of his or her first intentions, will react according to the suggestions of the hypnotist. In most cases, the person receives suggestions from the hypnotist, there is no real influence on the part of the hypnotist other than that of the suggestion. , with certain little tricks, capable of bringing his victim to act in a way contrary to that originally contemplated “. He looked at me seriously for a moment and then added, “Of course you and I possess different powers than that. You will be able to hypnotize a person right away even against his wishes; this gift given to you due to the particular nature of your life, due to of the very big difficulties you will have to overcome, due to the exceptional work you will have to do “. 5-141 Let us now see how hypnotism works. The subconscious spirit has no power of discrimination, no power of reasoning or logic, but if we can force a suggestion from the screen that normally exists between conscious and subconscious, we can force the latter to behave as we wish. If we focus our conscious attention on a single thought, we increase the power of suggestion. If we communicate to a person the idea that he will be hypnotized, he will believe it, because at that moment the screen will be removed. Many people proudly claim that they cannot be hypnotized, but they brag too much. In denying their predisposition to hypnotism, they only increase and reinforce it because, once again, in a struggle between will and imagination, the latter always wins. Some will make an effort of will, not to be hypnotized. Then this occurs: the imagination becomes irritated, and essentially says: “Now you will see if you do not allow yourself to be hypnotized.” To which the subject succumbs, even before knowing what happens to him. Of course you know how to get hypnotized, but it doesn’t hurt to remember that. First of all, one must have a means of attracting a person’s attention, so that the conscious spirit, which cannot deal with more than one problem at a time, is attracted; the suggestions can then creep into the subconscious. In general, the hypnotist has a shiny button, piece of crystal or other object and asks the subject to focus his attention, consciously, on that shiny object. It is a question, we repeat, of absorbing it

conscious spirit, so that he does not notice what is happening behind him! The hypnotist holds the object at the level of the subject’s forehead, who then has to raise his eyes, which causes a certain tension. The eye muscles and eyelids wrinkle under the effort of maintaining an abnormal position; now, these muscles are the weakest in the human body, and they tire much sooner than others. After a few seconds, the eyes get tired and start to water. It is therefore very easy for the hypnotist to declare that the eyes are tired and that the person is sleepy. It is evident that the subject does not ask for anything other than to close his eyes, because the hypnotist is concerned about tiring the eye muscles. The monotony of the voice, which repeats that the eyes are tired, ends up oppressing the subject and causing him to reduce his subconscious guard. He is starting to get fed up with all that history, which makes him yawn and bores him, and he would be happy to be able to sleep to escape boredom. Once this exercise has been repeated several times, the subject’s faculty of suggestion will be increased; that is, he will have gotten into the habit of letting himself be influenced by hypnotism. When, then, the hypnotist tells him that he has tired eyes and that he is sleepy, the subject accepts without hesitation, because his previous experiences have proved that, in fact, his eyes in those conditions tired. The subject thus believes more and more in the hypnotist’s statements. The subconscious spirit, totally devoid of a critical sense, cannot discriminate; if the conscious spirit accepts, then, the fact that his eyes are tired, because the hypnotist tells him so, the subconscious will have nothing to object to, nor object when the hypnotist claims that he feels no pain. In this case, the hypnotist, who knows his trade, can cause a woman to have a perfectly painless birth and even persuade a man that it is possible to pull out a tooth without feeling the slightest sensation. It is very simple; just practice, just a little practice. To sum up, the subject to be hypnotized has been led to believe everything the hypnotist tells him on his word. He learns that his eyes are tired. Her own experience of him proves that his eyes are tired. The hypnotist told him that he would feel much better if he closed his eyes, and he noticed that, in fact, he felt more comfortable than he was. The hypnotist must always make sure that his statements are perfectly accepted by the patient and that he takes his word for it. It is quite useless to tell a person that they are standing when clearly lying down. Most hypnotists declare what has already been tried. For example, he can tell the subject to extend his arm. Repeat this order several times in a monotone, and then, as soon as he sees that his arm has a tendency to drop, say, “Your arm is tired, your arm feels heavy, your arm is tired.” immediately, because his arm actually feels heavy to him, but, in a trance state, unable to respond to the hypnotist: “You fool, of course my arm gets tired, because I keep it up!” power of the hypnotist, a power that forces him to do what he commands. Westerners imagine that no one can be hypnotized instantly. This false. Everyone can be hypnotized instantly by someone who has learned Eastern methods. Fortunately, few Westerners. they know them. It is also thought that no one can be hypnotized and thus led to commit an action contrary to their own moral code. This, once again, is a mistake, completely false. I can see that you can’t hypnotize an honest, perfectly upright man by saying to him, “Go do a bank robbery.” The subject will turn, and wake up immediately. But a skilled hypnotist may very well formulate orders in a certain way, and make the subject believe that it is a game, for example, or a joke. It is possible for a hypnotist to do the greatest injuries to a person. 5-150 Unfortunately, the subconscious is not usually accessible to all forms of knowledge. Most people, for example, do not remember their birth, for all these memories are filed in the subconscious. It is also possible, thanks to certain methods, to transport a hypnotized person to the time before his birth. We will simply tell you that it is possible to hypnotize a person, in the various years of his life, up to

birth and beyond. WE CAN ALSO TRANSPORT HER IN TIME TO THE TIME WHEN SHE CONSIDERED HER NEW DESCENT TO EARTH! 5-145 It is well known that one person can be hypnotized by another, but in this case we want to hypnotize ourselves, because for most people it is repugnant to put ourselves at the mercy of another; although theoretically a pure hypnotist of lofty ideas cannot harm his subject, we are not afraid to say that, except in exceptional circumstances, a certain transference occurs. A person who has been hypnotized by another will forever remain subject to that other person’s hypnotic orders. For this reason we do not recommend hypnosis. We think that, before being able to develop it for medical use, precautions must be taken: for example, that no doctor is authorized to hypnotize a patient unless at least one consultant is present. We would also like there to be a law according to which whoever hypnotizes a subject must in turn be hypnotized,
