Nintendo has announced Mario Strikers: Battle League Football, a new entry in its football series coming to Switch in June.
This revelation was part of the Nintendo Direct which was broadcast last night, confirming the first game in the series since Mario Strikers Charged hit the market in 2007.
Strike is the name of the saga where Mario and friends participate in five-on-five matches. However, here players can apply devastating attacks and powers to gain possession of the ball.
Expect electric fences, fireballs, Bob-ombs and a lot of chaos. Naturally, there are items in the field to be used, such as banana peels and shells, among others.
In Mario Strikers: Battle League Football, equipment will also be another important factor. Depending on what you have equipped, your player will have different attributes.
On the field, each player will have the opportunity to grab an Orb and charge it to activate a Hyper Strike. All goals scored with this power are worth two, something that will certainly introduce chaotic moments and big comebacks in the scoreboard.
Unsurprisingly, multiplayer will be an important part of the Switch oeuvre and will support up to eight players at once. You will have the opportunity to participate in friendly matches and, it was revealed, to create your own Club that will host up to twenty people who will fight to put you in the best place on the table.
Mario Strikers: Battle League Football will be published exclusively on Nintendo Switch on June 10th. Keep the video that showed the work to the fans.
