Brandon and Alex were allowed to compete against Rik Wilbers and Marco Oosterhaven. This match was won by our gentlemen in two sets. The ladies Demi and Ella stood next to them on the track against Bianca Oosterhaven and Jamie Logt. A rough match, but the end result was a decent win for Smashing.
After this, the singles were allowed on the track. Yannic played against Riemco Hof, whom he had already played against a few times and unfortunately had not yet won. But Yannic showed what he was worth and neatly took the third point for Smashing. Lieke was next on the court playing her single against Rebecca van den Berg. Lieke played solid and won in two games.
We entered the second singles with a 4-0 lead. Our highly regarded substitutes, Alex and Demi, both showed good play and both won their singles.
Then the mixes went on the track. Brandon and Lieke showed what they were worth and neatly won both games. In addition, Yannic and Ella played a mix together for the first time and this match also went to Smashing in two sets. With a very nice 8-0 win, Smashing is sure of a ninth place in the ranking and can still compete with Hoorn for eighth place.
We would like to thank the public for the first time last Saturday and of course also our substitutes. In two weeks we will fight for eighth place in the ranking. We hope to see you!
