Pablo Mécoli spoke about the present of Sportsmen Unidos de Rosario in the run-up to the match against Náutico Sportivo Avellaneda this Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
The Region 1 Division will see important action this Sunday in the city of Rosario, more precisely in the República de La Sexta neighborhood, when from 8:30 p.m. those led by Cristian Le Bihan seek to keep their second consecutive victory.
Looking ahead to said match, in which Verde will host Náutico Sportivo Avellaneda on date number 5, Pablo Mécoli, one of the figures in the victory against Belgrano in San Nicolás, took the floor: “The spirit during the week was another compared to the one shown by the team after the defeats suffered at the beginning. We are going to face these next duels in a different way, knowing that we were not what we want to be and taking into account that we let a local game go by”.
Sportsmen showed in San Nicolás a really positive change with respect to the debut in the same city, in what had been a tough loss against Somisa. This is how Pablo described it: “I think it helped us realize in time what tournament we are playing and how we should do it. I think that the sum of training sessions are what make a team competitive or not, then the match is a consequence of what we worked on during the week”.
Regarding this Sunday’s rival at the Alfredo Fogna, he commented: “We know that it is a team that has known each other for a long time and that can help them for these first dates. But we have to play with the aggressiveness that we want to get the game going, because we have a great physical display and a rotation that not all rivals can show”.
Finally, he assured that they are going “game by game”, although the objective is clear: “We want to finish meeting and qualify for the playoffs, which will not be an easy task”.
