While AEW Carnage normally enjoys some kind of introduction (even if they air on different networks) from WWE Friday Night SmackDown every Friday night, as the show airs at 10 p.m. ET on TNT, the opposite will ring true with the upcoming 2022/01/hockey-players-nominated-at-the-beijing-olympics-goulash-is-missing-cervenka-is-returning/” title=”Hockey players nominated at the Beijing Olympics: Goulash is missing, Červenka is returning”>February 18, 2022.
This is because the TNT listings schedule Carnage as aired at 7 p.m. ET that night, meaning Carnage will serve as a sort of introduction to Smack down.
The reason the change was made that week is because the NBA is hosting its All-Star weekend, with a “Rising Stars” tournament set to begin at 9 p.m. ET that night. Carnage will return to its usual time slot the following week.
The wait continues for a head-to-head competition between AEW and WWE with its main lineup.
Rampage will be taped after the February 16 live episode of dynamite, so we don’t have a card for the show at the moment.
