NBA: Mavericks win despite Warriors comeback

In the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks won a crucial game.

The Mavericks came back to defeat the Golden State Warriors 107-101.

The team around the German international Maxi Kleber was still 14 points behind at the beginning of the fourth quarter. However, Kleber was having a bad day. He made only one of five two-point attempts. Dallas is now fifth in the Western Conference while the Warriors are still in second place.

The Los Angeles Clippers had a strong final quarter with Isaiah Hartenstein. They won 99-98 against the Houston Rockets, led by point guard Dennis Schröder, thanks to a 25-18 performance in the fourth quarter. Ivica Zubac from the middle position was instrumental in the victory, making a decisive block 20 seconds before the end.

Hartenstein had a double-double with 12 points and four rebounds, while Schröder had 11 points and ten assists, a so-called double-double with two-digit numbers in two categories. The Clippers are still eighth in the Western Conference while the Rockets are last.

With Dаniel Theis, the Boston Celtics suffered a bitter defeat. The Indian Pacers defeated the Celtics 107–128. In 15 minutes of action, Theis finished with five points and five rebounds.

The Los Angeles Lakers, led by LeBron James, also filed for bankruptcy. The Lakers fell 95-132 at home to the New Orleans Pelicans. In addition to being the game’s top pitcher, James accounted for nearly a third of all Lakers points with 32 points. That puts him and his team in ninth place in the Western Conference, with the Pelicans in tenth place.
