Fellow Swiss skier Loic Meillard trailed closely behind, finishing 0.08 seconds behind Nef. Daniel Yule, another strong Swiss contender, secured fourth place, 0.40 seconds off Nef’s pace.
The challenging course proved treacherous for some of the top-ranked slalom skiers. Notably,Lucas Braathen and Sebastian Foss-Solevaag,currently ranked first and second in the slalom discipline standings respectively, failed to complete the run. This unexpected turn of events sets the stage for a thrilling second run, with Nef holding a significant advantage.
