NFL: CJ Uzomah misses a 2nd training in a row

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Bengals tight end CJ Uzomah missed a second straight practice Friday.

The absence stems from a knee injury that occurred during the American final.

Offensive lineman Jackson Carman, who has back pain, also sat out of practice with the Bengals on Friday.

The team held an indoor practice session at the University of Cincinnati, given the poor weather conditions.

Uzomah has established himself as an impact receiver this season. The Bengals hope he will be reinstated during the Super Bowl on Feb. 13.

He was carried off the field on a golf cart with a sprained knee last Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I don’t think he’ll practice much this week,” Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said. The goal is to reassess his status this weekend and then Monday as well. »

The Bengals will also practice Saturday and Sunday.

The club will arrive in Los Angeles on Tuesday, five days before the Super Bowl.
