LTalks continue in Florida between Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). On Sunday there was a meeting in search of an agreement that would allow the regular season to start on March 31.

The deadline for these negotiations is this Monday.

Time is short and the distance is still very great between both parties. Today, Colombia has a significant number of players on the active rosters of Major League teams. In total there are 9 players so far.

They are: Giovanny Urshela (New York Yankees), José Quintana (Pittsburgh Pirates), Jorge Alfaro (San Diego Padres), Harold Ramírez (Chicago Cubs), Óscar Mercado (Cleveland Guardians), Luis Patiño (Rays of Tampa Bay), Nabil Crismatt (San Diego Padres), John Romero (Washington Nationals) and Reiver Sanmartin (Cincinnati Reds).

On the 40-man roster list are three Colombians: Ronaldo Hernández (Boston Red Sox), Jeter Downs (Boston Red Sox) and Jordan Díaz (Oakland Athletics).

As a special guest (not roster) to the Major League training camp is Meibrys Viloria (Texas Rangers).

Free agents Donovan Solano and Julio Tehrán are currently defining their situation with the Major League teams interested in them.

Today is the deadline for the MLB and the Players Association to reach a contractual agreement for the 2022 season; Otherwise, the start date, scheduled for March 31 of this year, could be modified as soon as the games are cut in the regular season, which would cause losses for both parties.
