The launch of “Nintendo Switch Sports” and the new improvements and updates of an incunabulum such as “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” lead the great novelties that the Japanese video game giant will bring to the market during the first half of 2022 and that have been given to meet through the eventNintendo Direct“.
One of the main dishes with which Nintendo intends to break the mold during these first months is with the readaptation of one of the great successes of the Wii with more than 80 million copies sold worldwide, “Wii Sports” but for its hybrid device and under the title “Nintendo Switch Sports”, and which will be released on April 29.
That game that went on sale in 2006 was one of the pioneers in popularizing gesture control of movements, it forced players to get up from the sofa to emulate from the living room that they were playing tennis, baseball, bowling or they were immersed in a boxing match.
The “Switch Sports” will maintain that same essence thanks to the gyroscope of the Joy-Con controls that will be in charge of detecting the movements of the player, who will be able to enjoy six different sports (soccer, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton and chanbara), and with the latest technology and improvements offered by the Nintendo Switch.
And if the “Wii Sports” was a boom when it came out back in 2006, to talk about the “Mario Kart” franchise, the derivative of the brand par excellence such as Super Mario, is to make it a Nintendo super-seller, even more so when it comes to “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe”, which since it was launched on the market in 2017 has not stopped breaking records with more than 93 million copies sold.
This 2022 the brand will introduce notable improvements and updates for this “Mario Kart”, specifically 48 remastered circuits over six batches of eight tracks each. The first will be available from March 18.
