BOLOGNA – Ducati Lenovo racer, Francesco Bagnaia, praised his team’s iron horse, Desmosedici GP22, as high as the sky. According to him, the Desmosedici is different from the iron horses of other factory teams.
Last season, Ducati created a sensation by introducing the holeshot. This tool was originally used to help racers go fast when starting a race. These tools make the motor lower so as to provide better acceleration.
However, its use is now becoming more common in racing. This tool also allows the motor to reach higher speeds on a straight line. However, the tool must be turned off when cornering to be stable when turning.
Ducati became the first team to develop it, followed by other manufacturers. However, Bagnaia assesses that no other manufacturer has been able to approach the quality of Ducati’s iron horse.
“The bike still has the same characteristics. We just have the advantage. Our engineers are very good and all try to imitate Ducati. However, no bike has the same charisma,” said Bagnaia, quoted from GPOneTuesday (22/2/2022).
