The 53-year-old visited possible base quarters and hotels with a DFB delegation as part of another trip to the World Cup host country. The final tournament will be played from November 21 to December 18, 2022. National coach Hansi Flick and his team are apparently drawn to the northern tip of the desert state. The Zulal Wellness Resort is traded as a favorite of the DFB as a tournament quarters. In addition to a meeting with the German ambassador in Qatar, Bierhoff also obtained information from the International Labor Organization (ILO) about the conditions for migrant workers in Qatar. There was also a meeting with the Qatar Foundation.
