Two promising Colombian badminton players, Sergio Zapata and Nicolás Morales, have secured their spots on the national team, earning the right to represent their country at the upcoming South American youth Games.

Zapata clinched the top spot in the national selection, while morales secured a commendable second place. This victory paves the way for them to compete against the best young athletes in the region at the prestigious event, scheduled to take place in Rosario, Argentina from April 28th to May 8th, 2022.

The South American Youth Games, organized by the South American Sports Association, will showcase the talents of athletes aged 14 to 17 from across South America, and also select participants from the Caribbean and Central America.
