On Friday night, Racing achieved a remarkable victory against Atlético Rosario del Tala by 79-48. El Verde crowned a deserved victory and Tomás Leuze was their scorer with 15 goals.
The game began with a strong local presence, which managed to dominate the game, making an abysmal difference against its rival and reaching the middle of the first quarter winning 12–0, with goals from Leuze, Linares, Schaaf and Paoloni. As for Atlético Rosario del Tala, their points were slow in coming, the first being six minutes into the game via Jonathan Thorp. Ultimately, the first quarter ended 25–6 in favor of the homeowner.
Continuing the match, the second segment reached its average with Racing determined to win, and after Marcos Panozzo’s goal, the score was 32-10. The domain and skill would remain with the host, who managed to impose himself on his rival with force. On the other hand, the offensive of Luis María Velázquez’s team seemed to have no result on the academy. Atlético’s point drought allowed the locals to close the first half 44–18.
After halftime, the inequality in the scoreboard became irreparable for CART, which was struggling to get closer to its rival, but without an effective offense, added to the arduous defense of Racing and its speed for the counterattack, the distance between both teams was came back disproportionate. Finally, the third quarter expired with a double by “El Mono” Leuze, which would position Racing 26 points above its rival, leaving the score at 59-33.
For the last chapter of the night the die was already cast and favored the green Gualeguaychú. The locals stood out throughout the match over their rival, with players like Tomás Leuze, Marcos Panozzo and Cristian Linares who were key to Racing’s offense, accompanied by bases like Nico Nieto and Alejo Paoloni who, with their speed when climbing the ball to the perimeter of the rival, achieved an impeccable counterattack. The match ended 79–48, a comforting victory for Racing.
