Real: Albiol’s cash explanation on Vinicius

Frustrated by their draw against Villarreal (0-0) on Saturday in La Liga, Real Madrid pointed the finger at arbitration and notably demanded a penalty after an elbow from Raul Albiol (36 years old, 19 games in La Liga this season) on Vinicius Jr. Not sanctioned, the central defender swore that his gesture was involuntary by using unfiltered language.

“I didn’t see it happen. If I had really wanted to hit him, he would have bled, that’s for sure, dropped the Spaniard in front of the media. Obviously, now they’re going to talk about it as a penalty, like in the first leg. But it wasn’t. He hit my arm. If I give him a real nudge, he goes off the field. He admitted it to me himself.”
