GenPI.co – PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Hasani Abdulgani gave the latest news about the naturalization process for players of Indonesian descent.
According to him, PSSI and Kemenpora continue to work on the naturalization process for players of Indonesian descent who are grazing in Europe.
The presence of descendant players is expected to increase the strength of the Indonesian national team which is facing a series of events during the 2022 calendar.

It is targeted that the naturalization process can be completed before April 2022.
The hope is that they can defend the Garuda squad in various events, such as the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification and the 2022 AFF Cup.

“The process of naturalization of hereditary players is being discussed by PSSI and Menpora so that it can be completed before April,” Hasani wrote via his personal Instagram, quoted from JPNN.com, Friday (4/2/2022).
He revealed the target of PSSI’s chairman for naturalized players to be able to defend the national team in the Asian Cup Qualifiers and the 2022 AFF Cup.

“God willing, these players can play in the Asian Cup Qualifiers, next June,” he said.
