Resumption of public swimming, public skating and public badminton
Following certain relaxations of sanitary measures announced by the Government of Quebec, the City of Shawinigan informs citizens that public swimming, public skating and public badminton activities will resume next week.
Open swim and aqualong
As of Monday, February 14, public swimming and aqualongueur activities at the Center des arts’ municipal swimming pool will once again be offered without prior reservation. Due to the limit of 25 people at a time, access will be restricted to residents of Shawinigan and Saint-Boniface, upon presentation of proof of residence. Free skating
Since the tuesday 15 february, public skating activities can resume at the Gilles-Bourassa arena. In addition, it is still possible for residents of Shawinigan to reserve a free demi-glace for a time slot of 50 minutes, in one of the three arenas in the territory (Aréna Gilles-Bourassa, Aréna Grand-Mère and Center Gervais Auto ). Since the monday 14 februaryfree badminton activities will resume in the gymnasiums of Val-Mauricie high school, according to the regular schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7:45 p.m. to 10 p.m.
