RSurrounded by all possible facilities, with 20 tracks, 10 gravel, nine fast and one with artificial grass, Pablo Carreo and Carlos Alcaraz coexist at the JC Ferrero Equelite Academy in Villena directed by Antonio Martnez Cascales.
“I am sure he will be one of the best players in the future. It doesn’t surprise me because I know how good it is“, says Carreo of his current teammate.
Not surprisingly, both will be on March 4 and 5 against Romania in the Davis Cup qualifying series. They will fly from Acapulco to Marbella, changing the hard surface for the earth and with a time difference of seven hours.
The good relationship between the two tennis players goes beyond the Academy. In tournaments they always go to watch the games and then go out to dinner with their respective coaches, Samuel Lopez and Juan Carlos Ferrero.
Another link of union is Albert Molina, agent of the two in the multinational IMG. Carreo and Alcaraz even played doubles together at the last edition of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.
Doubles at the Rio Open and Acapulco
They beat Lukasz Kubot and Wesley Koolhof at God and will repeat at the Rio Open and next week in Acapulco. His debut on Brazilian soil will be against the Argentines Diego Schwartzman and Maximo González.
