They threatened and assaulted a man with a baseball bat for a drug debt. Two men, 31 and 41 years old, both domiciled in Ostia, considered seriously suspected of the crime of attempted aggravated extortion in competition, were arrested by the carabinieri. The court of Rome, following the validation judgment, subjected the 41-year-old to precautionary custody in prison and the 31-year-old to the precautionary measure of the obligation of residence and presentation in the barracks.
The aggression
The military had intervened in a street dispute between three people, during which the 41-year-old had pulled out a baseball bat while trying to hit a boy. Blocked the alleged attacker who in the meantime was moving away and had tried to get rid of the broken club, thrown into a cavity. From the immediate investigations, however, it emerged that it was not a trivial street dispute, but that the victim, with an excuse, had been accompanied by another 31-year-old acquaintance of his, co-investigated, in an isolated street in the Idroscalo area and there was waiting for them. the 41-year-old who, after making him get out of the car, had first verbally threatened him and then threw the club at him without being able to hit him, all to induce him to pay previous drug purchases from other subjects, not yet paid. A probable punitive expedition commissioned, in order to scare the victim in order to force her to pay her debts, interrupted thanks to the rapid intervention of the carabinieri who arrested both the alleged attacker, burdened by multiple precedents, and the 31-year-old accomplice, uncensored, who is accused of having had an active role in deceiving the young alleged drug user to the appointment with the 41-year-old, helping him in his extortion action.
