Sara Siscar, a member of the Oviedo Badminton Club, returned with a medal from the Andalusian Benalmádena Spanish U15 Open, a tournament that brought together some promising European badminton players. Siscar won silver in doubles pairing with England’s Maria Mitchell. In the group stage, they beat the number one seeds, the Spanish Iziar Barcala and Paula Yedra. In the individual competition, Sara beat Germany’s Jolie Dincher, but fell to Spain’s Sara Llopis in the group stage. In mixed doubles, teaming up with Spaniard Gabriel Cañellas, they won their match against Marc Aguilera-Carolina Starace (21-9, 21-16), but lost to Russians Maxim Antipov-Valeriia Makeeva.
