Bàsquet Girona announced this afternoon that it has reached an agreement with Olaf Shcaftenaar to terminate the player’s contract, who landed in Fontajau in the summer of 2020. Throughout this season and a half, he has played a total of 44 official matches in the LEB Or and also in the Catalan League.
The 28-year-old Dutchman had started his career in his home country before signing for Canoe madrileny, with which it was possible to be released in the LEB Gold. He was there for a season and that’s when it was incorporated by Bàsquet Girona, a year and a half ago, to play under the orders of Carles Marco, then coach at Fontajau.
