Last week, volleyball player Edvīns Skrūders in Romania and the Lviv team in Ukraine led by Uģis Krastiņš celebrated two victories, reports the Latvian Volleyball Federation (LVF).
In the Romanian championship, the Scrubber’s Olimpia Titanii in Bucharest defeated Bucharest’s Rapid at home 3-0 (25:10, 25:15, 25:23) and the guests defeated 3-2 (20:25, 25:22, 21:25) , 29:27, 16:14) beat Bajamar’s “StiintaExplorari”. The scrubber played the first match from the first to the last whistle, but in the second he scored four points – three in the block and one with a serve. With 35 points in 19 games, the capital club ranks fifth among 12 teams.
The coach also celebrated two victories in Ukraine last week Uģa Krastiņa represented by Lviv Barkom-Kazan, who defeated Zhytomyr’s Zhitichy-Polyskyi University 3-0 (25:14, 25:18, 25:18) in Gorodok and 3-0 (25:18, 25:19, 25 : 11) defeated MHP-Vinnytsia in Trostyanets. After 22 games, the Lviv club is in second place in the eight-team competition with 56 points.

Meanwhile, both units represented by Latvians won the Italian Super League at home in four sets. Krister Dardzāna Perugia’s Sir Safety won Padua’s Kioene 3-1 (19:25, 25:22, 25:22, 25:13) but Gustav Freiman Taranto’s Gioiella Prisma defeated Piacenza’s Glas Sales Bluenergy 3-1 (25:19, 25:23, 25:27, 25:22). In Germany Roman Sausha Helios Grizzlys from Giessen place at home with 1-3 (25:27, 25:16, 17:25, 11:25) gave way to Herschwing WWK. The Latvian volleyball player took part in the game in the fourth set, scoring one point in the attack. Helios Grizzlys, with two points in five games, is fourth in the mini-tournament or eighth in the league.
In Belgium Renara Paul Janson Aalsta’s “Lindemans” lost 0-3 (21:25, 19:25, 20:25) to Menen’s “Decospan” Jansons in the first set and did not score. With 20 points in 13 battles, Lindemans ranks fourth among eight teams.
Finnish Championship Markusa Cielava Karelian Hurmos, represented in Joensuu, is 3-1 (25:17, 27:25, 22:25, 28:26) away in Vantaa.
