SARONNO – The Super6, a European competition that pitted the six best continental teams in baseball and softball against each other, has been canceled for the 2022 edition, announced Wbsc Europe, the European “beat and run” federation. Wbsc Europe communicated the cancellation of the Super6 2022 that should have been held in Spain from the 5 to 10 September due to the refusal of the hosts to organize the event. In the first, and today only, edition of Super6 held in 2018 a Hoofddorp, The Netherlandsthe win in baseball had gone to Kingdom of the Netherlandswhile in softball the Czech RepublicWith the’Italy in second place in both disciplines.
The next edition is scheduled for 2024 and the first six classified at theEuropean Baseball of 2023 and toEuropean Softball of 2022.
In the Italian softball national team, players of the Inox Team Saronno and of the Rheavendors Caronno Pertusella play a permanent role.
