In an entertaining and close match, Spanish Center beat Deportivo Roca as a visitor and remains firm in the fight for the Patagonia zone of the Federal Basketball League.
El Torito’s victory was 75 to 72 in the only match of the day in the region, which was played at the Gigante on Maipú Street, where Naranja was the local.
Plottier’s kept the advantage for most of the game but they could never stretch it too far for peace of mind.
Even in the final stretch, the Depo went ahead by 70 to 69 but the visitor was finer in closing and took a valuable victory.
Rock’s top scorer of the night was Joaquin Cabre for the local with 22 points. In El Torito they stood out Gabriel Spinaci (20) and Mario Sepulveda (17), both keys to the favorable outcome.
With a record of 5-1, Spanish Center was second in the table with 11 points, two behind Pérfora, who leads with 13 (6-1) and whom they could virtually match. Roca was 6th out of 8, with two wins and four losses.
Two new games will be played on Thursday night: Perfora – Independent (3-3) at 9:30 p.m. and Centennial (1-4) – Oil (4-3) from 20.
