The Zamorano team has participated in the Spanish Cadet Cup of Castilla y León
This weekend, the Castilla y León Cadet Spanish Cup took place at the Pilar Fernández sports center in the capital of Valladolid, with more than 150 participants from all over Spain. How could it be otherwise, the Judo-Caja Rural team, formed this time by members exclusively from the Judo Morales club, made the cut.
Sergio Rodrigo began in -50kg, who reached the fight that led to the semifinals, then entered the repechage where he continued on the path of victory without being able to reach the bronze, obtaining a very good fifth place.
Álvaro del Arco -60kg fell in the quarterfinal match entering the playoffs and achieving seventh place.
Miriam Silvares in -48kg, a very even category, so much so that her league had to be repeated as three of them tied in both wins and points.
After hard fights, Miriam wins the silver medal, bearing in mind that she has just recovered from a shoulder injury that has kept her out for a month and a half, so you can’t ask for more.
Sara Ventosa in -63kg won an impressive championship in the most difficult and tough category, Sara was winning fights until she entered the grand final, a final that was very close, getting a silver that leaves a very good taste in our mouths, impressive the Sara’s championship showing a great capacity for suffering and a great progression.
“We cannot be more proud of our judokas who always give everything on the tatami bearing the name of Morales and Zamora throughout the national geography”, they express from the Zamorana Judo Delegation.
