As expected, residents around Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium made a killing early in the year by selling their parking spaces at spectacular and downright ridiculous prices. A lady was seen selling her parking lot for $1,000, which included refreshments and you could also use her bathroom…what a deal.
Around the Los Angeles building there were several parking lots for $250 or more.
If people were looking for something more “official,” StubHub had parking passes for $370 and that space was more than a mile away from SoFi Stadium. Some parking lots were insanely priced, upwards of $5,000 at Hollywood Park Casino.
Kershaw supports the Stafford Rams, as one more
Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw supported his childhood friend, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, from the stands at SoFi Stadium.
Wearing an Angels jersey, Kershaw sat in the stands cheering for Stafford, whom he has known since they both played youth sports while graduating from the same high school, Highland Park, Texas in 2006.
It was curious to see Kershaw, a Dodgers figure used to being in the spotlight at crucial moments, rooting for his friend like an “ordinary Rams fan.”
Bengals triumph in the stands
Cincinnati, Ohio is a bit of a drive from Los Angeles. In fact, it’s more than 2,280 miles away, but Bengals fans, seeking their first Super Bowl in their history, followed their team to Los Angeles and were even louder in their support.
Eminem kneels at halftime show
During a moment of the halftime show, the rapper Eminen knelt down, just as several players in the history of the NFL have done when they want to send a message to protest social injustice against African Americans, a very controversial in the NFL.
Eminen had planned to do that during the popular halftime show and there were rumors that the NFL was going to try to prevent that, but it didn’t happen.
Eminen was joined by various rappers Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent and performed a medley that combined parts of “Forgot About Dre” and “Lose Yourself”.
“The Rock” makes the fans vibrate
The wrestler and actor, Dwayne Johnson, better known as “The Rock” gave a speech seconds before the start of the match.
Johnson played college football for the University of Miami and won the 1991 national championship with that school. He pretended to be a professional player but was not selected in the NFL draft in 1995.
“Finally the Super Bowl has come to Los Angeles,” Johnson declared to turn people on, a talent he has shown for years in WWE.
“It’s time for a team that has risen from the ashes to be one of the most feared, dominant, and electrifying teams in the NFL. Ready to give their city their first Super Bowl win in the franchise. The NFC champions, the Cincinnati Bengals.
It’s time for the Super Bowl!” Johnson said.
