To the Pan American Badminton
After participating in the National Badminton Qualifier in Guadalajara, Jalisco, five athletes from Baja California qualified for the Junior Pan American Championship, to be held next August in the Dominican Republic.
Vanessa López, Arely Guzmán, Camila Morales, Ángel Ramírez and Gael Velázquez will soon change their state uniform for the national one, seeking to give Mexico great satisfaction in the Pan-American fair. The tests in which they qualified were the women’s and men’s Singles, as well as mixed Doubles and women’s Doubles of both branches.
In 2021, Velázquez and Guzmán were national champions, so their work in terms of consistency and quality of play has once again been evident. (ZETA/Sports)
Crazy to be in Qatar
Fans from around the world requested 17 million tickets for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar during the first sales period, reported the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA, for its acronym in English).
The largest number of requests comes from residents of the organizing country, although requests from Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, France, India, England and Mexico also stand out. The most popular tickets were those for the final on December 18 at the Lusail Stadium.
