The accused basketball coach wants his freedom back

The investigation into the release of Daniel Lacasse will take place this afternoon at the Montreal courthouse.

This basketball coach from Saint-Laurent high school would have indulged in sexual contact with a teenager for two years, until 2012.

Lacasse was in charge of the youth women’s basketball team. He is the one who set up the program.




This affair came to light last week and still today, students are in a state of shock, including an ex-basketball player who has agreed to react.

Basketball coaches Charles-Xavier Boislard, 43, Robert Luu, 31, all from Saint-Laurent high school, are also accused of sex crimes against minors.
