In total, 16 teams participated. The next stage will be on February 13 and 14.

At the close of the Grand Prix, the teams classified on the previous dates will go to María Grande. In addition, a good number of casts are expected to want to take part in Free. There will be more than 200 participants.

For this reason, three members of the Arena commission of the Women’s Maxibasketball Federation of Argentina (Ffemar) -Viviana Busso, Carolina Macor and Betiana Zapata- traveled this Monday to the town of Paraná Campaña, to hold different meetings with the aim of planning the best way the event.

They held two meetings there. On the one hand, with authorities of the Termas Complex: Ing. Francisco Altamirano (president of Termas de María Grande SA), Paola Almeida (administrative manager of Termas) and César Jamardo (collaborator in events). And on the other with the Municipal Mayor of María Grande, Héctor Solari, together with the Director of Sports and Culture José Horacio Ludi.

At the end of the same, Busso mentioned: “Termas is going to give us all the support to face this event. It will be the closing of the 2021 Gran Prix Arena. It was going to take place in January, but was postponed due to Covid cases. An Arena Clinic of Ffemar Delegates from all over the country will also take place. In addition, we were received by Mayor Solari, who gave us all his support. It will be declared ´Of Municipal Interest´. They are very happy and want us to go. They will even involve clubs with U15 and U17 categories”.

Then Macor added: “Both the Municipality and Termas were enthusiastic and are going to give us all their support. In addition to the Circuit, the expectation is to add more teams in Free Practice. It was an intense but very productive day. We are going to enjoy a great weekend, in a spectacular place and with two sand courts specially prepared for the event”.
