“ The start of the season was a bit complicated following the application of health instructions. We were still able to count on the help of volunteers for the management of training slots. There is a good recovery and the arrival of many new members. Unfortunately, there is still no manager for the commune of Roquemaure, and the adult session on Thursday is therefore not currently active. The youth sessions are provided by coach Éric Novak, a graduate helped by two volunteers on certain courses and who will always offer and provide entertainment in the primary schools of the agglomeration”. explains Patrice Toso, club secretary.
Association created in 1995 in the town, the BGR30 (Badminton Gard rhodanien), chaired by Jean-Christophe Clément, is now developing in inter-municipality in partnership with the municipalities of Laudun-l’Ardoise, Tavel, Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, Bagnols- sur-Cèze and Roquemaure. The club counts to date 145 licensees spread over all the municipalities.
The last competition, Tour Gardois Jeunes et Adultes, obtained very good results: one title, three finalists and seven semi-finalists enough to encourage all young people for the next competition, the regional youth and veterans tournament, scheduled for Villeneuve-lès. -Avignon, April 9 and 10, and numerous interclub meetings.
