The RWDM reverses the Lierse and carries out a golden operation

The RWDM found its pet peeve this Sunday evening, a team from Lierse that it had only beaten once this season. But the Molenbeekois had a lot to play for at the top of the table. If successful, they could take a five-point lead over Waasland-Beveren in second place.

The first half was however difficult with a few chances but nothing very sharp while Defourny remained vigilant at the end of the first period.

The local pressure was more marked on the restart, Ruyssen and Le Joncour could have opened the scoring but it was Yagan, formerly of the Brussels house, who surprised Defourny first.

A blow to morale from which the Molenbeekois recovered quickly. El Ouahdi first missed a golden opportunity on a tense cross from Sankhon and then, in the general confusion, RWDM ended up equalizing. On a free kick from Rommens, Nzuzi deflected the ball, Teunckens seemed to capture the leather on his line but the linesman and the referee allowed the goal, angering the Lierrois.

Returning to the score, faced with angry Lierrois and chaining the faults, the RWDM threw all their forces into the battle to try to pocket the three points. And on a corner from Rommens in the 90th Togui arose to place a perfect header and blow up the Machtens stadium.

Nzuzi punctuated the mark in stoppage time, allowing RWDM to carry out the good operation of the weekend.
