The good results of the three USCF senior teams make it possible to envisage a thrilling end to the 2021-2022 season.

As the mid-season has passed, the results of the senior teams of the Castres Football Sports Union promises a thrilling end to the season. The three teams entered in the various championships indeed emerge on the podium of their category.

In the regional 3 championship, the USCF flag team currently has a record of 7 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses which allows it to take third place behind Figeac and Mas-Grenier. After a difficult month of November which had seen them concede three consecutive losses, the Castres knew how to perfectly raise the bar to align five games without defeat. A new series that allows them not to give up their ambitions to reach the upper floor and to prepare in good conditions for a capital trip to the leader scheduled for March 12. With 32 goals scored in 12 games, the Unionists can count on their offensive line to help them make the difference in the weeks to come.

Engaged in the championship of the second departmental division, the men’s reserve team does even better since it ranks second in its group, only one unit behind the leader. With 6 successes, 4 shared points and only 2 losses, the USCF reservists are still fully in the running for promotion at the end of the year. Only conceding an average of one goal per game, the Castres are counting on their defensive solidity (the best in the pool) to propel them to the top and unbolt Blan from his pedestal. A leader that the Unionists will also challenge in his lair at the end of March.

In this favorable balance, the ladies are not left out since they display an Olympic form. Undefeated since October, the Castraises point to the top of their group of the first departmental division. With six victories in seven games, however, they remain under threat from their Pays d’OC runners-up who they will visit on March 19 for a real final. Although beaten 3-1 in the first leg, the Castraises have assets to put forward as evidenced by the 5 small goals conceded and especially the 40 scored in only 7 games.
