The situation in the 2nd division – Every club has to fire its coach – Bundesliga

Take a sip of water. Now there is dry statistics brown bread.

Even university studies deal with the sense of changing coaches from time to time. The result is actually always: Doesn’t work!

So let’s take a look at the 2nd league…

A coach has been changed eight times this season (twice in Ingolstadt), which is already one more than in the entire past season.

And indeed: EACH of the current new coaches scored significantly more points than their predecessors, often more than twice as many!

► Werder (Werner for the beginning): 3.0 instead of 1.3.
► Kiel (Rapp for Werner): 1.8 instead of 0.9.
► Hanover (Dabrowski for Zimmermann): 1.7 instead of 0.9.
► Sandhausen (Schwartz for Kleppinger): 1.4 instead of 0.6.
► Ingolstadt (Rehm for Schubert); 1.2 instead of 0.4.
► Aue: (Hensel for Shpilevsky): 0.8 instead of 0.4.

What do we learn from this?

Firstly, that Düsseldorf’s new coach Thioune can actually only win against Schalke at his premiere today.

Secondly, that every club should fire its coach as soon as possible if it hasn’t already done so.

So: change brings something! Or …?

Of the 16 relegated to the 3rd division since 2015/2016, 14 had unsuccessfully replaced the boss on the sidelines.

And Werder would be the first club since Nuremberg 2009 under Oenning to actually get promoted after a change of coach.

So what have we really learned? Actually nothing. But it was always interesting.
