The Russian team CSKA Moscow announced the signing of the Venezuelan soccer player Mariana Speckmaier born in the United States.
The 24-year-old forward will have her first European experience after passing through the ranks of the Washington Spirit, a team in the highest division of women’s professional soccer in the United States (NWSL), reports the El Lider website.
The 1.65-meter Speckmaier signed a two-year contract with the team from the Russian capital.
The international with the Women’s Vinotinto joins several players who make life in European football, such is the case of Deyna Castellanos at Atlético de Madrid and Gabriela García at Real Sociedad. Also on the men’s side Salomón Rondón plays in the same team as Mariana.
The player is currently playing in the Tukish Women’s Cup and when the tournament ends she will travel to the Eurasian country to join her new club. GG/JML
