Japan’s Kei Nishikori has been out for months after hip surgery. The tennis star confirmed this on Tuesday.
Kei Nishikori has undergone hip surgery and will be out for up to six months. This was announced by the former world number four on Tuesday. The injury also forced the 32-year-old Japanese to cancel the Australian Open. He last played at Indian Wells last October and then ended his season.
“I will work as hard as I can. The goal is to be back in six months,” said Nishikori. The Japanese was the first Asian to reach the final of one of the four Grand Slam tournaments at the US Open in 2014.
