Chelsea stepped into the Club World Cup final after eliminating Asian Champions League champions, Al Hilal. The Blues won 1-0 over the Saudi Arabian club thanks to Romelu Lukaku’s single goal.
Palmeiras, who are Copa Libertadores champions, reached the final winning over Al Ahly in the semifinals. They beat the African Champions League champions with a score of 2-0.
The Club World Cup Final is Chelsea’s chance to make history. The Blues are chasing a trophy they have never won before.
This will be the first meeting between Chelsea and Palmeiras. In the Club World Cup, Chelsea faced Brazilian team Corinthians in 2012 and lost 0-1.
Before the Club World Cup final, there will be a match for third place. Al Hilal and Al Ahly will compete first.
