After the last match with Liberec, in which the beginning escaped them, the players from Třinec announced that they were looking after the opening third, and they adhered to the plan. After losing the puck on the attacking blue line, Růžička launched a quick counterattack and swung behind the defender to overcome Habal, whose puck whistled around the trap. The guests could equalize in weakness, after a nice butt Kohout ended up close to Beránek and Kacetl hit the tip of the skate. In the rest of the power play, Bakoš raised from the finish.
At the beginning of the second period, he used another power play Nestrašil with a blow without preparation from the right circle. The fourth goal came after the Polish cooperation and after the ideal incentive of Chmielewski, Komorski finished in the open goal. Habala drove to the substitute with a precise hit to the upper corner of Svačina, who was entering an elite attack.
In the following minutes, the guests were threatened, but Kacetl caught Rachůnek and then pulled out twice during Chondráček’s chances. On the other hand, Třinec was only centimeters away from the sixth goal, when Ondřej Kovařčík’s shot was stopped by a stick. His brother Michal made Luke’s catcher stand out in the two-on-one renumbering.
Both teams played the second match on the second day, and Karlovy Vary traveled from their city across the country for an hour and a half after the end of the home game. The guests tried to be honest and the opponents in the match overshot 30:24. In the best chance, however, Kacetl took a goal with an excellent intervention by Dlap, who had an exposed goal in front of him.
The final minutes were for Třinec. Lyszczarczyk caught Lukeš from a sharp angle and Ondřej Kovařčík closed the score into the empty net. The steelmakers achieved the highest win of the season.
