José Miguel Urtasun Uriz, born on April 30, 1984 in Pamplona, became part of the Bàsquet Girona squad until the end of the season. The Navarrese exterior arrives after the departure of Olaf Schaftenaar. Known by the nickname ‘Txemi’ (193 cm), he has a long career for ACB teams, where he also competed in the Eurocup and Euroleague, and also in LEB Or, where he has competed for the last three seasons, in Melilla, Ourense and Alicante respectively.
He made his debut in the second highest Spanish division in Bilbao in the 2002/03 season and in the ACB three years later, in 2005/06, wearing the Breogán shirt. The Eurocup would be played in two different experiences (Sevilla and Gran Canaria) and the Euroleague during the two seasons he was in Malaga (2012-14).
At the start of the season he was in the Panthers of Aguascalientes of the Mexican League, with 23 minutes, 12.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. and, since January, he has been part of the first team of Bàsquet Manresa (ACB).
