Ethan Andrei Lim Brcenas is one of those cases in which the protagonist usually delivers good results in each of the events in which he participates.

Baseball, soccer, Jiu Jitsu and Judo are the disciplines that have allowed him to start building his collection of medals and trophies, although his restlessness and desire to improve have him planning to try his luck in boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling.

The second grade student of the Colegio de las Américas high school is one of the advanced students of Jess Méndez Araujo at the Mario Aiello BJ Ensenada Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school.

As well as for three months Reynaldo Corredera, responsible for Judo at the High Performance Center of the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Baja California (INDE) of Valle Dorado in Ensenada.

As if that were not enough, he is a vital element in the formation of Rayados de Monterrey in the Municipal Children’s and Youth Soccer Leagues of Tijuana and Ensenada, and in April, he will participate in the Subsidiaries Tournament in the Sultana del Norte, where he will be watched by the leaders of the basic forces.

Inherited by the Lim and Brcenas families, Ethan Andrei was born with competitive DNA in his blood, which sparked his taste, love and respect for the sport.

NATO SPORTSMAN
His first achievements occurred when he was four years old in the now defunct Ensenada Instructional Baseball League, when he was directed for two seasons by Erik Mancilla Válos.

Upon entering the College of the Americas, he decides to change the bat and the glove for the ball to represent the institution in inter-primary qualifiers.

I liked soccer better because it is more dynamic and many of my friends were already playing it, said the athlete, originally from Orange County, California.

Currently, the central defender and midfielder belongs to the 2007 and 2008 categories of Rayados in Tijuana, whose headquarters is the Jess Romero Manzo field.

My goal was to become professional, but right now I am more focused on Jiu Jitsu and Judo, although I confirmed their presence at the event, rather than bringing together the affiliates of the royals.

Lim Brcenas announced that I was in a karate class and I didn’t like it, I also practiced Vale Todo and a bit of Tae Kwon Do.

Looking for the best options in terms of self-defense techniques, about four years ago, he found a refuge in Jiu Jitsu that has elevated him.

I struggled a bit at first, but I knew that would be where I would stay, and a month later I went to my first competition, he pointed out

Tijuana, Celaya, Cancun -in Mexico-, and the United States, have witnessed the progress of Ethan Andrei in state, national and international fairs.

Three weeks ago, in San Diego, California, a gold medal was won in the Gi and Nogi modalities within the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) tournament.

His next commitments will be in April in Michoacn, May and June in Mexico City, October in Celaya and November in Cancun.

On the Tatami, he said, I am very aggressive fighting, normally I am the one who attacks and almost never defends.

Ethan Andrei Lim, stated that, with the members of the Brcenas family, we talk a lot about baseball and watch the games, but I prefer soccer, although we also watch fights like the one with Brandon Moreno (UFC), they support me, they advise me that first It’s school and then sports.

In his wish list, I mentioned that, although I still have a long way to go, I want to be a black belt, and I am interested in entering Greco-Roman wrestling and boxing.

Andrei Lim, father of the minor, has seen action on flag football grids, basketball courts and baseball diamonds.

The important thing is that my son exercises, because we see so many young people who are lost or struggling with being overweight, it is something that we should avoid, he pointed out.

Finally, I expressed my gratitude for the support that all the people have given us, especially my wife Rebeca, who is the one who leads the baton, and without her none of this could be achieved; It is a team effort and it is a pride to be from Ensenada.

THINK JESS MNDEZ
The director of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school Mario Aiello BJ Ensenada, revealed that, with Ethan, it was not very complicated, since he arrived with a lot of coordination, even without knowing the sport, unlike other children, so he began to move with sense.

He is not one of those who waits to see what the rival offers him, on the contrary, he is one of those who attacks, he has my style of play, so it was very easy to start, however, in the first competitions it did not go as we would have liked .

Méndez Araujo added that in the gym we observe the advances, and how he is surpassing his classmates for that reason we send him from the 12-year-old class to the adult class.

Ethan had to pay a flat fee, but he adapted immediately and gave up the greats of advanced tapes, he pointed out.

For his debut in national jousts, he continued, we took him to the Celaya National and when we returned to Ensenada, with the Cancun event in mind, we analyzed the videos of the fights that we recorded, we focused on the mistakes he made to improve, and not not just me, but his training partners.

In the first Festival of Martial Arts and Contact Sports, promoted by the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Conade), held from November 17 to 20, 2021 in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, the fruit of the work was reflected .

In the first fight, he defeated the state champion of Michoacn, Bajo and Jalisco 13-1, who had controlled the center of the republic, that is where the interest of the federation arises, while in the final he submitted the boy, in fact he tron the arm, are occupational hazards, recounted.

The coach of the Northern Region indicated that he won his category 13-14 years and at the end, they threw one more fight as a blank for his people and he dominated it, that is why the people of the federation stopped him to prevent the another person was injured.

The federations are approaching with the intention of inviting him to the Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia, all the routine questions were going well until we reached the age, since he had just turned 13 and the minimum is 14, so there is no question. There was no way to consider it, he explained.

Jess Méndez announced that we are waiting to start the program of activities for him to enter the ranking, I met with his parents at the end of December to ask what competitions there would be at the national level, and we already have a plan for the middle of the year.

In the short term, it is that he be called up to the National Team, but obviously, we have to add tournament after tournament and the idea is to go to those that award points and can leave benefits so that parents do not spend more money, he said.

In later years, it is intended to attend the Pan American Games, a World Cup, and then, the part of the World Contact Games would follow, without forgetting that Jiu Jitsu is a World Universiade sport, in the interior of the country they are already giving sports scholarships and we would like you to take advantage of it.

About his pupil, he said that he is very obedient, disciplined and brave, he finishes the class and stays to ask what he did wrong, he is studious and worries that things go well for him, he is very concerned about learning and his classmates support him .

Three months ago he entered Judo in the CAR, and in Tijuana he already got the state championship, despite the fact that they had not contemplated it; but returning from Playa del Carmen, they included him in the Ensenada representative, he emphasized.

Chuy Méndez explained that (Ethan) has known how to complement both disciplines, he is a jiu jitsu player who is not afraid of any position, whether he starts at the top or the bottom, he fits in, he feels safe.
