In the fight for the gold prizes, US athletes overtook Italian snowboarders Omar Vizintini and Mikela Mojoli.
The Americans were only 0.04 seconds ahead of the men’s start, but Jacobell‘s victory, which also triumphed in the women’s snowboard competition on Wednesday, secured the victory.
The third place went to the Canadian duo Eliot Gronden and Merjetta Odena.
The competition took place in a snowstorm, which affected the condition of the track.
